Abstract
This longitudinal multi-informant study showed that maternal psychological control predicts higher adolescent relational aggression through reduced autonomy and competence satisfaction and poorer emotion regulation. A trifactor Poisson model revealed a significant indirect effect, identifying a sequential mechanism linking parenting practices to the development of relational aggression in adolescence.
