Abstract
Objective measures of 181 toddlers and preschoolers’ real-time interactions within inclusive preschool classrooms were collected throughout a school year. Beyond disability status, children’s vocalizations to and from peers were associated with teacher-reported peer play behaviors in distinct ways, providing insight into children’s social engagement across groups with varying developmental needs.
