Abstract
Across 10 days, daily subjective and objective LOCE predicted greater feelings of failure, which were linked to same-day compensatory behaviors. Perfectionism intensified the SLOC-compensatory behavior association and produced indirect effects through failure. Results indicate that failure-related cognitions and perfectionism increased daily risk for compensatory behaviors following LOCE.
