An Exploration of Suicidality and Juvenile Legal System Involvement across Development

Abstract
Suicide is a leading cause of death for youth and is associated with Juvenile Legal System (JLS) involvement. Using qualitative interviews of adults with histories JLS involvement and suicidality across adolescence, we explored the timing of suicidality onset and shared risk factors for suicide and JLS involvement in this population.
