Labeling Complexity and the Perception of Gender and Gender Identity By Trans and Gender-Diverse Individuals

The proposed study consists of exploratory interviews with gender-diverse participants (intended N = 45) in Canada. We will ask participants about their gender identity and the term(s) they use to label themselves. Data will be analyzed so we may learn about the complexities of gender-diverse self-identification.
