Moral Concern or Transphobia? Understanding Opposition to Children’s Social Gender Transition

A vignette study (N = 123) suggested that opposition to children’s social gender transition reflects transphobia rather than genuine concern. Transphobic participants rated supportive parents less positively, especially when the child was younger, highlighting moralized prejudice.
