Abstract
This cross-sectional study examined the genre-specific associations between gaming addiction and flourishing among 2194 middle school students (Mage = 14.53 ± 0.76 years). Results showed that addiction to action & adventure, multiplayer online battle arena, and sandbox & simulation games predicted lower flourishing, whereas other genres showed no associations.
