Abstract
Logistic regression analysis of 4,031 Japanese social media users revealed that social interaction and praise seeking needs consistently predict the perceived increase in well-being. Notably, an "information-seeking" orientation drove this perception for youth, whereas frequent usage of platforms such as Instagram was the primary predictor for middle-aged adults.
