Development and Validation of the Desperation Proneness Scale (DPS)

The Desperation Proneness Scale (DPS) was constructed to address the gap in scientific literature regarding persistent proneness toward desperation, providing researchers with a beneficial assessment tool. The DPS underwent a factor analysis, concurrent validity analyses and test-retest, each indicating the scale is a valid and reliable measure of desperation proneness.
