Abstract

Retention of women in STEM is a challenge, highlighting the need for resilience. This research explores how gender-professional identity integration (G-PII) influences women’s resilience in STEM. Two studies reveal that higher G-PII is linked to greater resilience, with Study 2 showing that gender biased experience lowers G-PII, reducing resilience.
