Abstract

We tested whether young children’s (n=40) spatial word learning is influenced by instruction medium (video, live) and instruction modality (with gesture, without gesture). We found no effect of instructional medium or modality, suggesting that children learn spatial words equally well in video and live instruction, either with or without gesture.
