Abstract

This study examines how punctuation and emotional valence influence perceived sincerity of text communication with workplace supervisors. Participants will complete a mood scale and communicate with a fictitious boss (e.g., Boss: Good morning, please don’t forget to clock in at 8 am exactly. Student: Okay, I will. Boss: Thank you.).
