Abstract

We examined how Purkinje cell–specific SynGAP1 mutations affect cerebellar-dependent associative learning in mice. Using a classical eyeblink conditioning task with paired light and air-puff stimuli, mutant mice learned significantly faster than wildtype controls. These findings suggest SynGAP1 regulates cerebellar learning processes and provides insight into mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental disorders.
