Abstract

This study examined leader expressions of gratitude and passion for building leadership-member exchange (LMX) relationships between leaders and remote or on-site employees. Overall, leaders' gratitude was found to be important for LMX development. Additionally, for on-site employees, gratitude from leaders with high LMX was found to further enhance the relationship.
