Policeman or Policewoman - Does It Matter? Testing Whether Using Feminatives Influences Girls’ Professional Preferences

An experimental study on 287 girls aged  11-15 examined whether use of feminatives in job titles influenced indication of traditionally masculine occupations as acceptable future careers for the participants. The result suggest that such a dependency does  not exist. However, this issue requires further research.
