Challenged or Threatened? the Cognitive Appraisal of Citizenship Pressure and Its Consequences for Ocb

Citizenship pressure (CP) indirectly affected organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) through employees’ fatigue. In terms of cognitive appraisal, CP perceived as a challenge, but not as a threat moderated the relationship between CP and citizenship fatigue. Overall, the results support the moderated-mediation model only when CP was appraised as a challenge.
