Abstract
Potential moderating variables for adverse childhood experiences on depression were examined. Variables included grit, learned helplessness, social support, the ACE scale, and a modified ACE scale examining frequency of occurrence. There were 122 participants. Results indicate that grit, ACE frequency, and social support were predictive of depression (AUC=.81).
