Abstract

Humility is a personality trait which promotes prosocial behaviors like cooperation. Self-evaluative accuracy is an intrapersonal component of humility that can produce conflicting social impressions. We aim to examine how third-party perceptions of individuals’ self-evaluative accuracy influence their desires to cooperate, with important implications for successful group functioning.
