Abstract
We examined the effects of critical historical education, storytelling, and their interaction on non-Indigenous participants’ (N = 499) empathy, solidarity, behavioral intentions, and support for government action. Each intervention had distinct effects. Critical historical education indirectly increased behavioral intentions through empathy and solidarity, highlighting mechanisms of enhancing public support.
