Abstract

We examined whether left-right confusion involves difficulty with quick left-right judgments. Twenty Japanese adults with left-right confusion and 20 without manually responded to verbal directional cues. Individuals with left-right confusion showed selective slowing in left-right judgments regardless of judgment immediacy manipulated by (un)predictability, suggesting general difficulty in left-right discrimination.
