Abstract
Anxiety is frequently associated with cognitive complaints such as poor concentration and “brain fog,” yet objective impairments are often absent. Among young adults, anxiety was not correlated with objective cognitive performance but showed a strong association with self-reported difficulties, suggesting that anxiety may distort individuals’ perceptions of their cognitive status.
