Abstract

We examined how modern Stoicism relates to psychological well-being. We hypothesized that Stoicism would correlate positively with resilience and reappraisal, and negatively with difficulty in emotion regulation and intolerance of uncertainty. Results support our predictions. Findings suggest Stoicism promotes psychological strengths and challenges misconceptions of it as emotionally restrictive.
