Abstract

We examined whether sleep quality mediates the link between cognitive emotion regulation and academic performance in 50 medical students. Using validated self-report measures and mediation analysis, results showed that better emotion regulation predicted higher sleep quality, which in turn predicted academic outcomes. Sleep quality significantly mediated this relationship.
