Abstract

The ‘evolved nest’ represents humanity’s species-specific developmental system tailored to meet biopsychosocial needs throughout life, especially in early life, promoting wellbeing in childhood and adulthood. Data collected over eight years demonstrates that early life experience of nested care is positively associated with multiple measures of wellbeing across two generations.
