Cognitive Correlates of Bipolar Spectrum Psychopathology: Hypomanic Personality Not Related to Cold or Hot Response Inhibition

We tested risk for bipolar disorders as a correlate of impaired hot response inhibition. In 102 participants (Mage = 21), Hypomanic Personality Scale score was not associated with cold inhibition or inhibition to positive (r(100) = -0.09, p = 0.34) and negative (r(100) = -0.16, p = 0.12) stimuli.
