Psychological Factors Related to Perceived Need for Help-Seeking in Later Life

We used secondary data to explore which psychological factors predict the perceived need among distressed older adults. There were 581 participants (55 years and older). The findings showed that higher levels of neuroticism, mental health literacy and lower perceived control predicted greater perceived need for mental health services.
