Deemed Foreign: Latinxs Are Seen As Immigrants in the United States

In the proposed research, we aim to assess how prototype theory can help us understand perceptions of immigrants in the US. We propose several studies to examine whether the prototype of an immigrant is Latinx-specific and to understand how deviations from this prototype impact perceptions of immigrants.
