Abstract
Exploring potential associations between attachment orientation and loneliness, data from 504 married parents (Mage = 40.88) reveal both direct and indirect relationships: greater attachment security predicts lower loneliness, with indirect effects mediated by spousal acceptance and gratitude. These findings enhance understanding of interpersonal mechanisms that underlie loneliness within marital relationships
