The Relationship between a Sense of Powerlessness and Gender System Justification Among Working Women

We examined how a sense of powerlessness affects gender system justification among Japanese working women (N = 373; Mage = 43.7). Contrary to expectations, greater powerlessness was linked to lower justification, suggesting increased awareness of gender inequality in Japan’s workplace context.
