PTSD Symptoms Predicts Post-Deployment Negative Life Adjustment in Combat Veterans

Our study examined how PTSD symptoms impacted veterans exposed to combat. Among 521 U.S. veterans, hierarchical regression revealed PTSD symptoms as the strongest predictor of negative life adjustment outcomes, explaining 22% of total variance. Findings highlight the imperative nature of protective factors and prevention strategies for veterans experiencing PTSD symptoms.
