Abstract

We surveyed parents in the U.S., Kosovo, and Turkey (N = 941) about their 4–9-year-old children’s game engagement. ANOVAs revealed cultural, gender, and age differences in how children play board, card, video, and online games, suggesting that social context shapes children’s game preferences and learning opportunities through play.
