The Role of Language in the Object Knowledge Representation in the Human Visual Cortex

How is world knowledge stored in the human brain? Object knowledge effects are well documented in higher-order visual cortices, with the role of language being debated. Results addressing this question will be presented, with nonhuman primate (without language), and with patients with brain damage (with impaired brain connection).
