Affective and Emotional Experience in Daily Life: The Role of Interoceptive Awareness

Abstract
Across multiple studies, we demonstrate that momentary changes in subjective awareness of bodily sensations covary with affective and emotional experience, such that people tend to experience more intense emotions and more negative, high arousal affect in moments when they are also more aware of sensations from their body.
