How Individual Differences Impact Learning From Movement

Abstract

Both actions performed on objects and representational co-speech gestures support learning. Here, we consider how individual differences impact children’s ability to learn a mathematical concept though observing versus producing actions versus gestures. Results have implications for understanding when and how movement can be most beneficial for learning.
