Active Video Game Play As a Novel Approach for Human Neuroimaging

Abstract

Unlike traditional neuroimaging paradigms, video games treat the participant as an active agent whose actions have immediate, ongoing consequences. Video game play can evoke activation similar to real-world actions and alters brain connectivity compared to conventional approaches.
