"I Hope There's Bloodshed": How Pornography Research Is Shaped By Threats, Violence and Conspiracies

Abstract

Despite APA and WHO rejecting pornography as addictive, public belief persists. Studies of anti-porn groups like NoFap, Karezza, and Certified Sex Addiction Therapists that oppose scientific consensus are presented. Results suggest harmful effects of their abstinence treatments and promotion of conspiracies and violence.
