Understanding Mechanisms of Aphasia Recovery to Improve Neuromodulation Treatments

Neuromodulation treatments to enhance recovery from post-stroke aphasia have shown modest positive effects. Optimizing these treatments requires a better understanding of the mechanisms of aphasia recovery. In this talk, I will present recent research that clarifies the neuroplastic mechanisms of aphasia recovery and suggests new strategies for neuromodulation treatments.
