Critical Thinking: Change in Concept and Measurement over the Last 100 Years

Abstract
Since John Dewey's "invention" of the term in 1910, critical thinking has evolved from a concept derived from formal logic to a key psychological skill touted as a "21st century skill". The definition shifted from epistemological reasoning to a focus of information evaluation with strong implication for measurement.
