Weaponized Mentoring in Stemm: Disproportionate Impacts on Minorities and the Need for Equity-Driven Reforms

Abstract
We investigated the impact of “weaponized mentoring” on minorities in STEMM through an anonymous survey (N=600, 75% Female, 40% People of Color). Quantitative and qualitative analyses revealed significant disparities in mentoring experiences by race and gender, emphasizing the need for mentor training and institutional reforms to foster equitable academic environment.
