Nicotine Withdrawal and Impulsivity Are Central Among Endorsed Items in Participant-Designed EMA Survey on Tobacco Use

Soyster and Fisher interviewed tobacco users (N=19) to derive a stakeholder-informed daily tobacco use survey. We explored item pairs participants endorsed together. 10 pairs were statistically significant (p<.01) and strongly, positive correlated (r>0.57), indicating that associations among participant-endorsed EMA items can consolidate understanding of stakeholders’ perceptions of mechanisms driving use.
