Abstract

Attachment insecurity (AI) is related to adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) such that greater experiences of ACEs predict greater insecurity. Psychological (in)flexibility (PF) could potentially buffer these negative effects, resulting in better interpersonal outcomes for people who have experienced ACEs. Interventions targeting PF may therefore be effective in these populations.
