Abstract
We investigated whether cardiac vagal tone—a psychophysiological indicator of cognitive and emotional self-regulation—modulated the effect of ADHD on task performance during an emotional go/no-go task. ADHD symptoms were associated with higher false alarm rate in no-go trials when HRV was lower, but this relationship disappeared when HRV was higher.
