Abstract

Living kidney donation is a rare, costly form of altruism. Using N=500 prospective responses from a transplantation center questionnaire, we identified variables predicting living kidney donation (vs. voluntary withdrawal). Logistic regression analyses determined predictors of donation included older age, kinship, and frequency of interaction with the intended recipient.
