Abstract

Health information encountered on social media can be misleading and encourage the use of non-evidence-based treatments. The proposed research will investigate the effects of viewing posts about cognitive behavioral therapy on treatment-seeking attitudes and treatment-seeking intentions via a randomized human-subjects experiment.
