Abstract

In this study, participants used LEGO bricks to build representations of what might assist them in survival and moving scenarios. Results show significantly more builds, using fewer bricks, when engaged in survival processing: a novel effect of the survival advantage. These results emphasize efficient, divergent processing occurring during this task.
