The Effects of Visual Inversion on ASL Comprehension in Noise

Abstract

We are planning an experiment testing the effects of visual inversion on American Sign Language comprehension. Participants will be shown words and sentences in ASL and asked for the English interpretation. Videos will be presented upright or inverted. This will expand our knowledge of inversion effects on cognitive processes.
