Abstract

Using a large online sample (N = 800), this pre-registered study tested whether urgency and emotion dysregulation mediate the relationship between childhood trauma (CT) and risky sexual behaviors (RSBs). Findings revealed CT predicts RSBs through positive/negative urgency and positive emotion dysregulation. Additionally, positive emotion dysregulation predicts RSBs through positive urgency.
