Comparing Implicit Versus Self-Report Measures of Body Image Among Black African Women: Evidence of Social Desirability Bias?

Body image measures, which assess constructs heavily influenced by social norms and cultural constructions of appearance, are fraught with concerns related to norming, validity, and response bias. To address these concerns, we compare results from implicit versus self-report measurements of body size and skin tone among Black African women.
