Abstract
Limited psychological research has examined the relationship between actual economic policies and attitudes toward poverty. We investigated the association between regressive policies and poverty attributions in 13 countries (Nper country~500) sampled from four continents. Small government predicted greater individualist and fatalist poverty attributions and labor deregulation predicted lower structural attributions.
