Abstract
This study uses secondary data from the National Financial Well-Being Survey to investigate relationships between subjective well-being, financial well-being, materialism, and financial skills within the African American community. Findings reveal financial skills and subjective well-being significantly predict financial well-being, while materialism does not. Results highlight the need for skill-based interventions.
